Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick , 21 yrs old.

Next to her is her fiancé, Nick, 23. 
This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005.

Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. 
Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions.

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning.

Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie’s constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception.

The other couple in this picture is Nick’s parents, very emotional with the wedding and of course to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love with when he was an adolescent.

Katie, in a wheel chair, listening to her husband and friends singing to her.

In the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit to catch her breath.

The pain does not allow her to stand for a long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding.

To see a fragile woman dress as a bride with a beautiful smile makes you think, happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.

Life is short. So love without boundaries. Laugh without control. Live like it’s heaven on earth.

I would get annoyed if I had to drive someone around, too, but he takes it to a whole new level. He told me to quit dancing. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or anything, but he seemed pretty serious.

I don’t understand how a parent can tell their own child to quit something they love doing. Seriously? That’s ridiculous.

Sooo, since I was too tired last night to tumbl, here I go!

Yesterday, Spotlight Ladies and Center Stage went to Los Alamitos for show choir comps! Wooo. Both groups got 4th! We go, we go. I really didn’t think we would place. <3

Haha. But the highlight of my night was at the end of the comp, a lady came up to me and said,

“Oh my goodness! I love you guys. Your shows are always so entertaining to watch. And you! I remember you from your Freshman year. What grade are you in now? … Oh a junior? Man. You really grew as a performer! You’ve always caught my eye.”

When she said that, I like… Blew up from happiness. :D

AND GUESS WHAT? She was a director from one of Burbank’s Show choirs! OMGGG. <333

So today was a HELL of a good day for me.

I think it all started out in AP Literature when they were handing back essays and when I got mine back, the grade fkkn caught me off guard. The essays were practice EPT essays and I got a 100%! OMG. I screamed. LOL. P;

ANNND. It gets better. At our competition, Legacy - I got Best Male Performer OUT OF THE TWO DIVISIONS, Intermediate AND Advanced! Omggg. You have no idea how good that makes me feel. I seriously wanted to cry when I got the trophy. I was so surprised. There’s nothing that could make this night any better. :]
